Joshua’s been cast in one of the lead roles in a play now in rehearsal. His character is Honey Boy, whose girlfriend is Booty Girl.

In the park today, I run lines with him. We sit across from each other at a picnic table, under the shade of beeches.

He gets up from the picnic table, walks about, acts out his lines. I love her. Damn me, I love her, but she doesn’t know how to love me. The bitch ho.

The lines echo Joshua’s own life with Christy.
